Good Night Drink | Drink For Better Sleep
I have two moods when it comes to sleeping.
1. Sleep is for the weak - Which means I just want to be awake, I feel like if I sleep, the time that I was sleeping is a waste of time wherein I could have done a lot of things.
2. Sleep is life - Which means, I can always choose to sleep rather than do anything, even eating! This is when I can ditch any event or occasion they invite me because I just want to sleep.
I was out a few days ago buying supplies and stuff when I decided to go to the nearest 7/11 store to see anything new or any product I can try and post a review of. I love how sometimes 7/11 surprises me with new products almost every time.
I was about to leave because I haven't seen interesting stuff but when I was about to go, I saw these cans on the counter. I went to look at it closer and imagine my surprise when I saw that it's my first time seeing this drink and it is actually a drink to help you sleep better?
I had to try it, so I got two can.
It just took a few days before I finally tried them because of conflicts.
But first I also searched a few things about it. So here's what the website says.
What Is Good Night Drink?
It’s the soft drink with herbal extracts lemon balm and hops. This herbs are traditionally used to help relieve feelings of stress and to encourage peaceful sleep. Lightly carbonated with a slightly sweet taste reminiscent of a prickly pear.
How Do I Use It?
You drink it, obviously. Drink the whole can about 30 – 45 minutes before you go to sleep. And that’s it. Simple.
How Does It Work?
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), is considered a calming herb. It is used to reduce stress, anxiety and promote sleep.
Hops (Humulus lupulus), well-known as bittering agent in brewing industry, have long been used in traditional medicine mainly to promote sleep.
What Is It Made Of?
Natural herbal extracts and crystal-clear alpine water. The basis is lemon balm and hops. We don’t use any artificial preservatives, coloring or sugars. The rest of what we do use is our little secret. Made in Austria.
Who Is It For?
Anyone who wants to wake up in the morning feeling fully rested. Frequent (and infrequent) travelers, business people, and athletes are often found among our most avid fans and customers.
What Is It Not?
A sedative. It will not knock you out within 5 minutes of drinking, so you don’t have to worry about that.
The first time that I drank the first bottle, I didn't know that I was going to do a task and thought that I was just going straight to bed. About thirty minutes after I drank the whole can after watching videos and stuff, I already feel a bit sleepy, but I had to get up. My head started to ache a bit crazy as I was fighting the sleepiness. Yep, I know. Fighting sleepiness is always a bad thing, and although I don't usually feel this way on most times that I still refuse to sleep amid being sleepy, I don't know if it's one of the effects of this drink.
I feel like my body is forcing me to shut down. The headache lasted for almost three hours before I went back to bed. I woke up feeling as usual.
The second time, well, I had a night of better sleep, but it didn't add any sleep hours to my usual, or there are just so many factors to be considered. But I can say that I got a 'quality sleep' as I woke up not feeling tired or something which is one of the best things to happen after a night of work.
It tastes nothing for me, but it is carbonated so at first, you'll think you're just drinking soda.
It's a little pricey, but since I know that there's really an effect, I can recommend it to other people who have sleep problems like me to try.
